The team turned in an impressive performance at the league meet, highlighted by multiple individual champions and standout performances across events.
The Spartan boys claimed three league titles, led by Noah Foster, who dominated the sprints by winning both the 200m and 400m, making him a double league champion. Bryan Lucas added another crown to the team’s tally with a first-place finish in the 3200m.
Gage Willenbrink showed versatility, placing second in the High Jump, Long Jump, and Javelin. Kaden Ward claimed third in the Discus, while Ayden Johnson took third in the 110m High Hurdles. The 4×400 relay team of Johnson, Lucas, Adon Arellano, and Kolton Cornish also earned a third-place finish, securing their place at districts.
The girls were equally impressive, also boasting three league champions. Erika Williams led the way, winning the 100m with a personal record of 13.28 seconds. She also anchored the 4×400 relay team, which finished first with a PR of 4:36, alongside Skye Hestand, Moli Luong, and Lizzie Morrison.
The same quartet—Williams, Hestand, Luong, and Morrison—also powered the 4×200 relay to a second-place finish, while the 4×100 team featuring Natasha Fletcher, Hestand, Morrison, and Williams took second as well.
Coach Pam Gale praised the team’s effort, noting another league champion in Nora Gaydeski, who won the 800m, with Leilee Earls right behind her in second place. Libby Owens advanced with a third-place finish in the 200m.
