ROBBERY SUSPECTS AT LARGE

On Dec. 26 at about 8:06 p.m., Clallam County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of milepost 49 on Highway 112 on a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The victim reported his vehicle had broken down on the side of Highway 112. While he waited for assistance, two unidentified males pulled their pick-up truck in behind the victim and asked if he needed help.

The victim told Deputies he refused assistance and began walking back towards his vehicle when he was struck in the back of the head by one of the suspects. The victim attempted to defend himself from the suspects who were both punching and kicking him.

During the assault, one of the suspects ripped the victim’s wallet from his pocket, stole all of the cash inside, and then dropped the wallet.

The suspects returned their vehicle and fled west on Highway 112 at a high rate of speed.

The victim described the two males as one being mid 20’s and the other possibly in his 40’s. Both males had a “mountain man” type of appearance and one had a long beard.

The pickup they drove was a midsize pickup, possibly a Ford, unknown color. The victim of this assault suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention.
