Larry I. Palmer

Sept. 28, 1929 – Sept. 17, 2021

Larry was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Forks to Walter J. and Bertha Lawrence Palmer.

He passed quietly at his home in Forks on Sept. 17, 2021.

Larry attended school in Forks where he excelled at sports. Soon after graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

He first married Joanne and they had three children, Steven, Lisa, and Mark.

Larry’s second marriage was to Linda, who brought Brian, Carla, and Julie with her and they added Gina, Sara, Devanee and Michael to their family.

Larry worked as a forester for ITT Rayonier for many years and after retirement, he continued feeding bears for ITT Rayonier and Green Crow.

Larry loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, beachcombing, yard work, sports, and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elsie Motteler and Alice (Betty) Palmer, and son Steven.

Survivors include Lisa (Joe) Zeeben, Mark (Deb) Palmer, and their families from his first marriage. Larry is also survived by Brian (Tammy) Gibbs, Carla (John) Ides, Julie (Jarrad) Scarlett, Gina Fuhs (David Wikstrom), Sara (Evan) Sveum, Devanee (Tim) Berry, Michael (Stacey) Palmer, their families, and his wife of 45 years, Linda.
