Forks Elks Soccer Shoot results

On Aug. 8 the Forks Elks Lodge held a Soccer Shoot at the soccer fields in Forks.

 

There were 40 kids who participated in the contest. The kids who scored the highest points won, and were eligible to advance to the state contest. There were eight divisions to compete in, and the winners were U8 girls Payton Johnson, U8 boys DeAnthony Davila, UlO girls Lily Fili, U10 boys Colton Duncan, U12 girls Veronica Gomez-Bos, U12 boys Seth Johnson, U14 boys Adam Barnhart.

 

No one competed for the U14 girls. Each of the winners received a certificate and a soccer ball from the Forks Elks Lodge #2524. The Washington State Elks Soccer Shoot was held at Bremerton Elks Lodge #1181 on Oct. 21. Five of the winners went to the state contest and did very well. There were kids from seven Elks Lodges competing in the state contest, out of 400 kids who entered the local contest at their lodges. The winners from Forks were, in the U8 boys DeAnthony Davila 1st place, in the UlO boys Colton Duncan 1st place, in the U12 boys Seth Johnson 1st place, in the U12 girls Veronica Gomez-Bos 2nd place, and in the U10 girls Lili Fili 4th place. Duncan also won a trophy for having the highest score for boys.
