The Forks volleyball team moved on in the Southwest 2B District tournament with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-22) sweep over Rainier.

With the win, the Spartans (5-2) move on the second round, a match at home Wednesday against Napavine. If the Spartans can win that game, they move on to the Southwest 2B championship Saturday.

Leading the Spartans was Kyra Neel with 10 kills and three blocks, while Kaidence Rigby had seven kills and four blocks. Kesia Rowley had 17 assists from the setter position and two aces serving. Kadie Wood had four kills and Kray Horton, normally the team’s setter, was moved to outside hitter and responded with five kills.

Coach Jenn LeDuke said the girls are happy to still be playing.

“They had a blast,” she said. LeDuke said Wednesday’s match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
