An accident was reported at about 8:05 p.m. Thursday of a car versus power pole in Sappho, near the junction of Highway 101 and 113.

It is believed that three people were transported to the Forks hospital by two ambulances.

The Beaver Fire Department, Forks medics, Washington State Police and Clallam County Sheriff were at the scene.

The power in the area was out for about two and a half hours. At least one driver reported seeing the vehicle recklessly passing other cars just prior to the crash.
