March Students of the Month Forks Junior High School

The Student of the Month project is sponsored by Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest for students who consistently display respect and responsibility for their behavior and academic achievement. Students of the Month are chosen by students and teachers.
Congratulations to our March Students of the Month!
Seventh grade
Natalie Lausche

Natalie Lausche was chosen as a seventh-grade Student of the Month for March by her teachers for her persistence in excellence. Natalie comes in before/after school to catch up on assignments when she has missed something.
She is very conscientious about the quality of her work and is willing to help other students when they need support. Natalie is not afraid to ask clarifying questions to ensure that she is able to produce her best work. She is kind and respectful to her peers and her teachers. Natalie is the daughter of Shawn and Rebecca Lausche and is in Mrs. Decker’s seventh-grade block class. Her favorite classes are art history and Leadership. When she’s not at school, she loves to play fast pitch. She also enjoys baking with Harley and riding quads.
Tyler Fagan

Tyler Fagan is in Mrs. Decker’s seventh-grade block class. He is the son of Joshua and Cira Fagan. He was nominated by his teachers this quarter because of his diligence in his work and patience with others. Tyler pays attention in class and models a good work ethic to his peers by staying on task, even when those around him are goofing off. He is kind and polite to all of his classmates and has a quiet, positive energy about school. Tyler likes to beat box, play video games and be funny when he’s not at school. During school, he likes hanging out with his friends at lunch and recess.
Eighth grade
Macy Luong

Macy Luong is the daughter of Huan and Jan Luong. She was chosen as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March by her teachers for a variety of reasons. After struggling academically the first quarter, Macy has truly stepped it up. She is working very hard to reach and maintain good grades. Macy is kind, patient and polite to everyone. She is helpful and a very respectful young woman. Macy is in Mr. Burton’s eighth-grade block class and enjoys hanging out with her friends and reading during the school day. After school, Macy loves to watch YouTube, listen to music and hang out inside.
Oscar Gonzalez

Oscar Gonzalez is one of the eighth-grade Students of the Month for March. He is in Ms. Taylor’s block class. Oscar is the son of Oscar and Tina Gonzalez. He was chosen because he models good behavior in and out of class. He does well academically in classes and is a natural leader. His favorite things in life revolve around soccer. When he’s not playing soccer, he’s practicing or watching it on TV. At school, Oscar enjoys hanging out with his squad and Ms. Taylor’s block class.
All students are eligible to be Student of the Month! Be respectful, be polite, follow school and class rules, help prevent bullying, be on the honor roll, be at school every day and on time, pay attention in class, go the extra mile, do school work and turn it in on time.
