The Forks Timber Museum recently received a $4,750 boost from Campbell Global, presented by Wes Romberg, the company’s Western District Manager with offices in Port Angeles.
The donation comes through Campbell Global’s annual “Grow the Good” grant program, which supports nonprofits making a positive impact in their communities. In past years, recipients have included the Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction, Quillayute Valley School District’s Auto Mechanics program, the West End Youth League, the West End Sportsmen’s Club, and the Royal Rangers.
“We do a grant once a year,” Romberg explained. “We look around the community and look at who is doing good things. The local staff decides on who receives the grant.”
Forks Timber Museum Executive Director Bryon Monohon expressed gratitude for the support. “We are very excited and thankful for the grant and look forward to working with Campbell Global for years to come. It is nice to have a local presence on the West End with Wes in the community,” Monohon said. He added that the funds will be split between the Forks Timber Museum and the Logger’s Memorial.
Campbell Global, a leading timberland investment manager, was acquired by JPMorgan Asset Management in 2021 and integrated into its Global Alternatives business. The acquisition broadened JPMorgan’s portfolio to include sustainable forestry, with Campbell Global continuing to manage timberland worldwide for investors.
Closer to home, Campbell Global recently purchased portions of the Rayonier tree farm in Clallam County, further expanding its local presence.
“There are no strings attached to this grant,” Romberg noted. “Entities can use it as they please.”
