Ever dream about being in a beauty pageant, but aren’t ready to travel across the state, pay for hotels, gowns, and accessories or to hire make-up/hair artists and pageant coaches, pay for expensive headshots or any of the other myriad of expenses associated with pageants? Or maybe you love the idea of your daughter wearing that queen’s crown, but don’t like the idea of her being judged on her physical appearance? We have the perfect pageant for you, right here on the West End.

The PNW Miss Leadership Pageant will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Forks Athletic and Aquatic Center, located at 91 Maple Ave, Forks, WA.

This youth pageant is designed to help girls develop leadership skills, build confidence, and strengthen their connection to their local community. The event focuses on personal growth, community service, and leadership.

The pageant features three age divisions: Elementary (grades 3–5), Junior High School (grades 6–8), and High School (grades 9–12). Each division will crown one queen and one runner-up. Queens receive a 3.5” rhinestone tiara and sash. Runners-up will receive a sash. In addition, a special 12” trophy will be awarded to the contestant with the best overall community service portfolio across all age groups. Additional medals will be handed out for special awards in professionalism.

Participation in the pageant is free, and no pre-registration is required. Cash donations for the Forks Community Food Bank will be accepted at the door, but are voluntary, not mandatory. Contestants must submit their interview forms by March 19. Forms may be emailed to elizabethgraeme@outlook.com or uploaded to the pageant Facebook page. Forms available on the Facebook page or can be emailed to you by requesting one via email at ELIZABETHGRAEME@OUTLOOK.COM.

Complete details regarding judging criteria, deadlines, interview requirements, clothing guidelines, and additional information can be found on the Facebook page “PNW Miss Leadership Pageant.” Or can be sent to you via email request.

PNW Miss Leadership is brought to you and will be emceed by Elizabeth Graeme with the Miss F.A.C.S. (Fight Against Childhood Starvation) Worldwide pageant system. She hopes to help raise donations for the local food bank and help other girls explore the world of community service and leadership through pageantry.

The community is encouraged to attend and support local youth as they showcase leadership, service, and dedication to making a positive impact.
