Free chicken keeping classes at Forks and Clallam Bay libraries

West End branches of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) invite community members to learn about poultry farming at free Chicken Keeping 101 events in April. These sessions are designed for beginners who are eager to learn about raising chickens and the many benefits that come with it.

Wednesday, April 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Participants will explore essential topics such as choosing the right chicken breeds, setting up an ideal coop, understanding feeding and nutrition, health care practices and the basics of chicken behavior. Gain the knowledge and confidence needed to start your own chicken-keeping journey.
