Drifters float the Sol Duc River in search of steelhead. It is recommended that sportsmen know the river before venturing out in waters that could be dangerous to those seeking adventure in the several Forks area streams. Even the waters of the river could have changed since the fishermen’s latest trip. Fallen trees and changed channels are just two things to be aware of. There have been several accidents this season. For those who drift safely, there is much to enjoy, including wildlife such as river otters, deer, elk, eagles, and some beautiful scenery.
Clammers search for the popular razor clams during the spring at Copalis Beach along the Pacific Coast last season. Once again, the clam season is open for daytime digging. Always check the latest regulations, as they may change weekly.
