Clallam Bay High School is proud to recognize William Lovik as a March Student of the Month for his Kindness, Patience, and Peer Support and Joseph Abila for his Personal Growth, Responsibility, and Engagement.
William has distinguished himself as a compassionate leader in the classroom, specifically through his dedication to helping others succeed. He has been remarkably patient while assisting a fellow student who struggles with math anxiety, providing the steady support and encouragement needed to help them navigate challenging lessons.
Known by staff and peers alike as “Billy,” he is consistently kind and respectful to everyone he encounters. His willingness to step up and share his knowledge while maintaining such a supportive and gentle approach makes him a true asset to our school community.
Congratulations, William, on this well-deserved honor!
Joseph has demonstrated a marked improvement in his behavior and has shown a deep commitment to becoming more responsible for his academic success. His growth is evident not just in his grades, but in the mature way he interacts with the school community.
His character truly shone during the recent “Lunch With A Pro” event. Joseph took the initiative to ask five high-quality questions, showing genuine interest and respect for the guest speaker. When thanked for his participation, Joseph thoughtfully noted that since the professional had traveled to share their experiences, he wanted to ensure they felt heard and valued. He appreciated that the guest “shared talking with us” rather than just talking “at” the students—a perspective that displays remarkable empathy and social awareness.
Congratulations, Joseph, on your hard work and for being a leader in meaningful conversation!
