Robert Dale Pedersen (Bob) was born the sixth of nine children to Ralph E. Pedersen and Ada Schauer in Beaver, Washington.

After losing his hearing to spinal meningitis before the age of two, he attended the Washington State School for the Deaf, where he met his future wife, Karen Kaare.

They were married 65 years as of January 21, 2026, and have lived in Port Angeles ever since. Bob was employed for 42 years by what was originally called the Crown Zellerbach paper mill in Port Angeles. He enjoyed being with his family, fishing, hunting, RV travelling, and woodworking.

Bob is survived by his wife Karen, his daughters Deb Anderson of Shoreline and Cindy (Joe) Rogers of Port Angeles, his grandchildren Michael (Anne) Rogers of Kennewick and Keegan Rogers of Port Angeles, and 2 great grandchildren Christian and Reed, his brother Terry Pedersen of Port Angeles and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Betty Bernier, June Olson, Patricia Pedersen, Helen Carmichael, and his brothers, Bill Pedersen, Dick Pedersen, and Ron Pedersen. No services are planned. Bob’s final resting place will be in the Columbarium at Oceanview Cemetery.
