It’s back …

Guess who’s back? The flashing yellow emergency light at Main Street and Calawah Way never really left; it was just taking a little rest. After recent discussions at Forks City Council about traffic and pedestrian safety, the light has been switched back on.

Since many visitors were stopping there anyway, the thinking was, “Why not give them a reason?” But, seriously …remember, a flashing yellow means slow down, use caution and proceed if it’s clear …you don’t have to stop. (That’s the flashing red light’s job, usually when a fire truck is coming through.) Here’s hoping the revived beacon encourages everyone to ease off the gas just a little as they pass through town …and if someone does stop? Try not to lose your mind …
