Nominations are now open for the 46th annual Clallam County Community Service Awards, honoring volunteers who have made significant contributions to their communities.

The awards, presented by Peninsula Daily News, the Soroptimist International of Port Angeles–Noon Club and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, will be held May 6 at the Port Angeles Senior & Community Center.

Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, March 27, to the Peninsula Daily News office. Each nomination must include a completed coupon, up to three letters of support and may include a photo and supporting documents.

Nominees must be Clallam County residents and cannot be paid for their service. They should demonstrate dedication, leadership and a meaningful impact on the community. Previous award recipients are not eligible, though past nominees may be renominated.

A panel will select up to three adult recipients (22 and older) and up to three youth recipients (ages 12–21), with a new youth awards program added this year.
