Sandy Robert Floe of Randle, Washington, passed away on May 4, 2026. Sandy was born on May 19,1940 in Port Angeles, WA, the child of Sanford Maurice Floe and Esther McNee Floe. He attended schools in Beaver, Forks, Everett and at Western Washington University. He worked as a fire lookout in Clallam County before enjoying a long USFS civil engineering career in Forks, Steamboat and Randle/Packwood. In 1980, he started building his home on the Randle homestead, completing the house in 1984 and later built his barn. He loved drifting the Cowlitz, Sol Duc, Hoh and Bogachiel Rivers, cruising his CHB trawler, the Sea Eagle, around Vancouver Island and Alaska as well as flying his Beechcraft Musketeer.

Sandy is survived by his children Brian R. Floe and Victoria Floe North (and her children, Ayden and Alexandra); granddaughter Tynasia (Naci) C Floe, who he raised; partner Fran Chapple (and her daughter Tracy and granddaughter Juniper; step-daughter Rosemary Caperton (and her family Amy, Will and Gavyn; granddaughter Kastle J. Floe; granddaughter Emma Melgardshagen, along with numerous relatives.
