Work resumes on SR 112 paving and road repair project

NEAH BAY – Paving and emergency repair work is set to resume on State Route 112 in August.

Starting Thursday, Aug. 6, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will prepare the highway for paving. Travelers will see flaggers alternating traffic one direction at a time through work zones.

SR 112 will be paved from milepost 0 to milepost 8.

Starting Wednesday, Aug. 12, travelers will see paving work from:

Milepost 1.87 to milepost 0.

Milepost 8 to milepost 1.87.

During paving, a pilot car will lead travelers through the work zone one.

Crews will also repair guardrail and install signs along SR 112. That work will continue into the fall.

No construction work during the following dates:

Makah Days: Aug. 28–30

Labor Day: Sept. 4-7

In 2025, crews repaired the embankment next to the highway between mileposts 2 and 5.6. Eleven drainage culverts were also replaced.
