On New Year’s Day, folks of varied ages and abilities from Forks, Clallam Bay and Sekiu walked the flat rain forest trail along the Little Hoko River. Hosted by the Clallam Bay Sekiu Lions/Friends of Hoko River State Park, the annual event features meeting new friends and walking together through tall trees and hanging moss near a surging river. Walkers met the challenges of navigating under and over trees that were downed by autumn storms and then cleaned the trailhead of litter before heading home.
