June 28

It was time to get your “style on” at the Ginger’s Closet Fundraiser held Saturday evening, June 29, at the Roundhouse. Models of all ages presented outfits from the non-profit. These two pictured, even found something to wear for the 4th!
In addition to the fashion show, attendees snacked on tacos, the Forks Lions provided a beer garden, and the Richwine Road Band provided entertainment. Ginger’s Executive Director Layla Rawls shared, “Thanks to our community’s incredible generosity, we raised nearly $4,000. Next fall 2025, we will award two $2,000 scholarships in honor of our founder, Ginger Haberman. Applications will be available next spring.” Ginger’s says thanks to all who volunteered!

Last week sundog photos were everywhere on social media. Sundogs are colored spots of light that develop due to the refraction of light through ice crystals. They are located approximately 22 degrees either left, right, or both, from the sun, depending on where the ice crystals are present. Jet pilots also entertained with circles. Photo Christi Baron
