Recently Forks Elk’s ER Dawn Harris presented a $4000 check from a grant from the Elks National Foundation to Forks Elementary School, benefiting their STEM and STEAM programs. Displaying the boxes are Aaliyah and Emory Millett with School Librarian Cathy Johnson and Educator Dora Maxfield. Sensory bins offer an opportunity for children to explore and learn through their senses. This can increase their language skills, fine motor skills, social skills and hand-eye coordination.
