Clallam County Fair Royalty Candidates

The Clallam County Fair Royalty introduces its 2024 fair royalty candidates. Candidates will be in the community seeking donations for the 2024 year. Royalty Coronation will crown a new court for the 2024 year. The coronation is slated for Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Exposition Building at the fairgrounds, 1608 West 16th Street, Port Angeles. Coronation is free and open to the public. The new court will represent the county fair at parades and local events along with the court on all four days of the county fair which is August 15-18, 2024. The fair theme for 2024 is Celebrate The Bounty Of Our County.

2024 CLALLAM COUNTY FAIR ROYALTY BIOS

Kaylyn Baerg is a 14-year-old Freshman at Sequim High School. Her parents are Jason and Kindle Baerg. Kaylyn is a member of FFA at Sequim High School with livestock judging. She plays volleyball and basketball and enjoys snowboarding. Kaylyn would like to attend the University of Hawaii and study livestock veterinary work. Her platform is Cancer Awareness, and her hope is to bring awareness to help prevent and treat cancer. Her sponsor is Julie Knowles.

Brooklyn McKnight is a 14-year-old Freshman at Port Angeles High School. Her parents are Ken and Stacy McKnight. Brooklyn is Vice President of her Freshman Class. Her school activities are bowling, and track and field. She also participates in symphonic choir classes. Her hobbies are writing, drawing, and singing. Brooklyn would like to attend Stanford University. Her platform is Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, and her hope is to bring awareness for the compassion of animals and education for the benefit of the animals. Brooklyn’s sponsor is Caliber Home Loans (Melanie Pilgrim and Vonnie McKnight).

Aliya Gillett is a 16-year-old Junior at Forks High School and a Running Start Student at Peninsula College. Her parents are Craig and Tracy Gillett. She is active in her high school soccer, drama club, band, and track. Aliya plans to attend WSU to seek a Chemical Engineer degree so she can one day find a cure for illnesses such as cancer and bring awareness to these illnesses. Her platform is her local food bank. Aliyas’s sponsors are Chinook Pharmacy and Evergreen 76/Subway.

Olivia Ostlund is an 18-year-old Senior at Sequim High School. Her parents are Bob Ostlund and Jeromy and April Wright. Olivia was Clallam County Fair Princess 2022-2023. Olivia is a member of FFA at Sequim High School and is planning on showing rabbits or goats. Olivia is an Ambassador for Girl Scouts. She is in the Port Angeles Youth League and has bowled since she was 3 years old. Her plans are to attend an Auto Mechanics Program. Her platform is The Boys and Girls Club of America. Olivia’s sponsor is Caregivers Home Health Inc.
