FHS 2020 Graduate’s Scholarships and Future Plans

ELIZABETH MARIE ADAMS – Guardian – Tim and Jen Adams; Elizabeth has earned her AA degree from Peninsula College. Elizabeth will be attending Arizona State University this Fall. She has been accepted into the Bachelor of Speech and Hearing program. Elizabeth plans to be a speech and language pathologist. Scholarships – Lions Club $800, SeAlaska Heritage Corporation $1600, QV Scholarship

EVELYN GISSELLE ARANDA SANTIAGO – Guardian – Florentino and Elisabeth Aranda; Evelyn will continue her studies at Peninsula College. She plans to transfer to Pierce College’s dental program to become either an Orthodontist or a Dentist. Evelyn was a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – QV Scholarship

MADELYN ANNE ARCHIBALD – Guardian – Brad and Cheryl Archibald; Madelyn earned the Valedictorian award for the class of 2020. Madelyn will be attending Gonzaga University but is undecided in her field. Madelyn is president of her senior class as well as the student chairperson for the Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction. Madelyn was also part of the National Honor Society. Scholarships – Lions Club $800, American Legion $1000, Elks Most Valuable $500, Hull Foundation $1000, Gonzaga Grant $4780, Washington Grant $974, Dean’s List Scholarship $20,000 per year ($80,000), Ninke Music Scholarship $1000, QV Scholarship.

ALAINA PRESLEY BAKER- Guardian -Jeremy and Yvonne Baker; Alaina will be attending Peninsula College for her AA in Art then interning to become a Tattoo Artist. Alaina is a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

REINEY ANINE BEGLINGER – Guardian – Mikal Brown and Michelle Beglinger; Reiney will be attending Peninsula College this Fall for the Medical Assisting program to become a Midwife. Scholarships – Diane Demorest $500, QV Scholarship.

NATALIE MARIE BERRY – Guardian – Tim and Devanee Berry; Natalie is receiving her AA degree from Peninsula College. She will continue in Peninsula’s Bachelor of Business Degree. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

MADISON ELIZABETH CARLSON-GONZALEZ – Guardians – Charles and Pura Carlson; Madison will continue her AA degree from Peninsula College. She will then transfer to Washington State University and enter the Science program. Scholarship – 4-H Scholarship, QV Scholarship.

COLTIN JAMES CLAGGETT – Guardian – Kami Claggett and Bryan Claggett; Coltin has joined the workforce and will go to college later.

MARY ARLET CORTEZ-VAZQUEZ – Guardian – Grisellda Vazques and Elvis Cortez; Mary will attend college this fall. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was also a link leader. Scholarship – Albert Haller $8,000, QV Scholarship.

BILLIE JEAN CRAWFORD – Guardian – Jerry Crawford and Aunt Megan Cloud; Billie Jean is going into the US Navy.

SETH MICHAEL DAVIS – Guardian – Rusty and Anita Davis; Seth will be attending the Peninsula College Welding Program this fall. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

TRAVIS WAYNE DAVIS – Guardian – Roger and Kristy Davis; Travis has already entered the workforce and hopes to go into logging later.

HANNAH JO DECKER – Guardian – Bill and Kristi Decker; Hannah plans to continue her AA degree from Peninsula College and then pursue a nursing career.

BRADY ROARICK EDWARDS – Guardian – Jamie and Julie Edwards; Brady will be attending college at a later time. Scholarship – Ninke Scholarship $1,000

BRYAN BENJAMIN ELENA-GARCIA – Guardian -Yolanda Elena Garcia and Francisco Elena Solono; Bryan will be entering the workforce.

WILLIAM AUGUST XAVIER FLECK – Guardian – Rod Fleck and Cheri Tinker; William will graduate with his AA from Peninsula College and then pursue his education in theater at Western WA University. Scholarship – “Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle $1,000, Western WA Univ. Multi-Cultural Achievement Program $4,000.

ALEXANDER JOSEPH GARCIA-VASQUEZ – Guardian – Luis Garcia-Vazquez and Martina Soto; Alex is undecided for his future plans.

OLIVIA MARIE GONZALEZ – Guardian – Tina and Oscar Gonzalez Sr.; Olivia will be attending Whatcom Community College to become a radiologist technician. Olivia is the Historian of the National Honor Society and the Senior Class Treasurer. Olivia was also one of the student chairpersons for the Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction. Scholarship – Lions Club $800, QV Scholarship.

OSCAR GONZALEZ JR – Guardian – Tina and Oscar Gonzalez Sr.; Oscar plans to start school at Bellingham Community College to go into the Dental Hygienist program.

ETHAN EUGENE COLE GOSSARD – Guardian – Kelsey Pearson; Ethan has entered the workforce and plans to attend Electrician school.

SYDNEY ANN HENDERSON – Guardian – Bill and Jen Henderson; Sydney has earned her AA degree through Peninsula College. She will be attending Saint Martin’s University this Fall to become a Mechanical Engineer. Sydney is a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – President’s Scholarship $84,000., Benedict Scholars Participation Scholarship $4,000, Corona Virus Setbacks $1500, Campus Visit Award St. Martins $500, QV Scholarship.

YULISSA KARINA HERNANDEZ BELTRAN – Guardian – Caritina and Benigno Hernandez; Yulissa plans to continue her second year at Peninsula College to earn her AA. She will then transfer to the University of Washington to join the medical program and become a pediatric nurse.

KELSI RENEE HESS – Guardian – Janell Richmond and Aron Hess; Kelsi is undecided at this time for her plans.

PHOENIX HESTAND – Guardian – Vern and Teresa Hestand; Phoenix will be attending Peninsula College for his AA in Art and then DigiPen to get a bachelor’s degree in video game art and design. Scholarship – Ninke Scholarship $1,000, QV Scholarship.

BLAKE DENNIS HINCHEN – Guardian – Amanda Larson and Christopher Hinchen; Blake works at PNWP Cedar Mill and will go to Trade School at a later date.

CORINA SUE HOLMES – Guardian – Pam and Craig Hoffer; Cori will be taking a year off then attending a community college.

AUSTIN CODY HOWELL – Guardian – Kurtiss Dent; Austin will go into the workforce.

JACOB THOMAS HULL – Guardian – Tom and Kris Hull; Jacob will be entering the workforce.

KENDRA LESLIEANN IOTTE – Guardian – Jack and Debbie Iotte; Kendra plans to go into the workforce then continue her education at a community college. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

ELIZABETH JACKSON-CRUZ – Guardian – Lydia Soto Flores and Tony Flores; EJ plans to go to Grays Harbor College for an IT degree, she also plans to wrestle there. EJ is a member of the National Honor Society and the Secretary of National Honor Society. Scholarship – Hull Family $1000, Soroptomist, QV Scholarship, Wrestling Scholarship for 25 percent tuition.

SAVANNAH MAE JINNEMAN – Guardian – Shawna and Richard Sandmire; Savannah will attend Bellingham Technical College to be a dental hygenist. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

TERRA AMANDA KELLEY – Guardian – Tracy Kelley-Rios and Ancelmo Rios; Terra plans to enter the workforce then attend college at a later time.

ELLIAHNA FAITH KILMER – Guardian – Steve and Alissa Kilmer; Elliahna will be attending Columbia Basin College this fall to study Veterinary Medicine. Ellie will also be playing softball for the Hawks. Scholarship – Columbia Basin Scholarship.

BRENNA NICHOLE KING – Guardian -Brian and Brenda King; Brenna earned the Salutatorian Award. Brenna was also ASB and National Honor Society Treasurer and a Link leader. Brenna will be attending Central Washington University to become a Culinary Teacher. Scholarship -Scottish Rite, Violet Richard $250, Elks Most Valuable $500, Central WA Scholarship $5,000, Lions Club $800, QV Scholarship.

SHEENA CASSANDRA KOSZ-CLEVELAND – Guardian – Elizabeth Kosz; Sheena wants to attend college to become a dental hygienist. Sheena was a National Honor Society membership and a Link Leader. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

GARRETT RICHARD KUGLER – Guardian – Shawn and Tammy Kuglar; Garrett will go to a trade school to get his CDL Scholarship – QV Scholarship

KARMA SERENITY LAPIN – Guardian – Cynthia and Rex Lapin; Karma has earned her AA through Peninsula College. Karma will be working this summer and using the time to decide which career and college path she plans on taking. Karma is a member of the National Honor Society.

MACY JADE LUONG – Guardian – Huan and Trang Luong; Macy will attend Central Washington University to study early childhood education teaching. Macy is also the Associated Student Body Vice-President and a Link leader. Scholarship – QV Scholarship

ARIEL MORALES SANDOVAL – Guardian – Norma and Sebastion Morales; Ariel will be attending NW Lineman College and then get an apprenticeship as a lineman. Ariel is the National Honor Society Vice President and the Senior class Secretary. Scholarship – Lions Club $800, Green Crow $500, Hoquiam Logger $300, Voice of Democracy $250, QV Scholarship.

GYOVANNA DAWNTE MORALES – Guardian – Crystal and John Harney; Gyovanna will be attending Linfield College to earn a degree in Criminal Psychology. Gyo is a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – Linfield $20,000, QV Scholarship.

ISABEL LISA MORELOS-SANCHEZ – Guardian – Victor and Marta Morelos Isabel plans to join the workforce. Isabel was a member of the National Honor Society and a Link Leader.

ANTONIO DAVID MURO – Guardian – Elizabeth Williams and Brad Carstensen; Tony is moving to Seattle to get his apprenticeship as a welder. Tony is the Senior Class Parliamentarian.

JAYDEN ELIZABETH OLSON – Guardian – Ken and Jessi Olson; Jayden will attend Lower Columbia College to play softball and will enter the dental hygiene program. Jayden was also a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – QV Scholarship, Jayden received one free year tuition from Lower Columbia College.

NIEVES ERNESTINA CHEYENNE ORTIZ – Guardian – Luis Ortiz and Tara Harris Nieves plans to go into the workforce. Neives was a Link Leader.

JALISA DAWNMARIE PERETE-GREENE – Guardian – Maria Davila and Margarito Davila Jalisa will start 121 Studio Cosmetology School in the Fall. Scholarship – Elks Vocational $500, Elks State Voc $3,000, QV Scholarship.

RIAN FAITH PETERS – Guardian – Jake and Shauna Peters; Rian will go to St. Martins this fall to play softball and to earn her Teaching Degree in Math. Rian is a member of the National Honor Society. She is also the Associated Student Body President and a Link leader. Scholarship – SMU Chancellor’s Scholarship $92,000, SMU Softball Scholarship $1,500, Lions Club $800, COVID Scholarship from SMU $2,000, Buddy Scholarship from SMU $1,000, QV Scholarship.

MYAH ELIZABETH RONDEAU – Guardian -Jake and Shibahon Rondeau; Myah will begin online courses through Peninsula College and then pursue her nursing degree. Myah is also the Associated Student Body Secretary and a Link leader. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

PAIGE ELISE RONDEAU – Guardian – Mike and Shauna Rondeau; Paige wants to go to Cosmetology School. Scholarship – QV Scholarship.

HUGO ERNESTO SANDOVAL JR – Guardian – Sundi-Rose and Hugo Sandoval Sr.; Hugo plans to go into the workforce.

CHELSEY SYDNEY SIMONS – Guardian – Clint and Carrie Simons; Chelsey plans to attend school for singing and acting. Chelsey was the Senior class Vice-President. Scholarship – “$16,000 PNCA Columbia Scholarship, Ninke Music Scholarship $1,000, QV Scholarship.

RENEE LOUISE SMITH – Guardian – Robert and Rebecca Smith; Renee will continue her education.

JEFFREY RANDALL SPOONER – Guardian – Lorne Spooner and Cathy Wiktorik; Jeffrey plans to go to a trade school to become a welder and later a Welding inspector.

GRACE HELENE SPRAGUE – Guardian -Brett and Jennifer Sprague; Grace will be attending Peninsula College this fall to obtain her AA. She will then transfer to a university to become a horticulturist. Scholarship – Bogachiel Garden Club $500, QV Scholarship.

AMY TASHEENA STILLWELL – Guardian – Dawn and David Stillwell; Amy plans to go into the workforce after graduation. She plans to attend college at a later time.

GABRIEL LUIS TERRONES-ROWLEY – Guardian – Tawnya Rowley and Rafael Terrones; Gabe will be entering the workforce with plans to become a diesel mechanic.

SYLVIA GUADALUPE TORRES-LOPEZ – Guardian – Silvia Lopez and Hilario Torres Sylvia plans to finish her AA degree at Peninsula College and then transfer to Tacoma Community College to study as an ultrasound technician. Scholarship -QV Scholarship.

KAYCI RENEE XIAO XUAN TRETTEVIK – Guardian – Susan Trettevik; Kayci will attend WSU where she will pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Kayci was a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – Washington State University Grant $500, Elks Most Valuable $500, Soroptimist International of Olympic Rain Forest $500, QV Scholarship.

KIANNA MARIE VOGEL – Guardian – Rob and Lori Henke and Amanda Lozier; Kianna plans to go into the workforce. Kianna was a Link Leader.

TREVOR JOHN WARD – Guardian – Brian Daniels; Trevor will be entering the workforce.

ANNHELICA ESPERANZA WELLS – Guardian – Bill and Jessica Wells; Annhelica is receiving an AA from Peninsula College and then transferring to Central Washington University and later the University of Washington for Physical Therapy. Annhelica was a member of the National Honor Society.

EMMA RUTH WHITE – Guardian – Jennifer Schwenker and Grandma Carol Hoffman; Emma has entered the workforce and later wants to pursue a career in horticulture.

ROBERT ERROL WILLIAMS – Guardian – Adria Williams and Robert Williams; Robbie has earned his AA through Peninsula College. Robbie will attend Oregon State University and get his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and go into the research field or informal education. Robbie is a member of the National Honor Society. Scholarship – Oregon State University, Evergreen Scholarship $12,000, QV Scholarship.

COLTON RYAN WILSON – Guardian – Mike and Stacey Palmer; Colton has enlisted in the US Army. He will be training to become a diesel mechanic.
