Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief is proud to announce the Ginger Haberman Memorial Scholarship, created to support West End students entering their second year or later of higher education.
Ginger Haberman was one of the founders of the Disaster Relief Committee and the Clothing Bank, renamed in her honor to Ginger’s Closet & Disaster Relief.
She was a lifelong advocate for community service. After graduating from Providence Hospital in 1958 as a nurse, she dedicated her career to caring for others. She settled in Forks in 1962 and devoted countless hours to volunteering for local organizations.
This scholarship is a tribute to her legacy of giving and community support.
Each year, we will award scholarships to students from the West End who demonstrate financial need, community involvement, and a commitment to their education.
This year’s scholarships are made possible thanks to all the community members who donated to and volunteered at the Ginger’s Fashion Show last year.
