Support continues for Orlando

A Fun Run to benefit Orlando’s Cancer Fund was held last November. It was the senior project of Ireni Ramos-Contreras and Taegan Counsill Geyer.

The girls had about 25 people participate in the run. But they also had about 20 more people just buy shirts to donate towards Orlando’s Fund.

Ireni said,”This was our Senior Project and we wanted to help Orlando and his family in any possible way we could. We learned that it is always nice to help others and the excitement we saw in Orlando’s face was the best and we are so happy with how everything turned out.”

Ireni and Taegan surprised Orlando at his house with a gift, balloons and to give him all the money that was raised, a total of $2,775. They are seen here with Orlando and a really big check. Recently Orlando was able to come home from the hospital in Seattle for a week.

Ireni and Taegan presented their senior project last week in front of judges at Forks High School. The girls still have some T-shirts left to sell, contact them if you are interested.

Hopefully, Wednesday of this week Orlando will be ready for Stage 2 of his chemo treatments. Submitted Photo
