Grand Marshals:

Bill and Kitty Sperry, Forks

Forks residents for 18 years – they own 110 Business Park, Cedar Avenue Self Storage, Huckleberry Lodge, and G Street Business Park. They are active in the Beautification Committe and Neah Bay Fort NUE Geona. Both are on the Forks Chamber of Commerce Board and Bill is a Commander in AWG.

Pioneer of the Year :

Ron and Marge Shearer

Longtime residents of Forks, Ron’s parents were both judges. Ron retired from the phone company.

Tourist of the Day:

Roland & Bev Maual, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Roland and Bev are visiting family here. Their daughter is married to Luke Larson. This is their first time in Washington.

Forks Old-Fashioned 4th of the July “Hometown Hero”: Jim Whitehead

Lifelong resident Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He was stationed on the USS Randall as a 2nd Class Petty Officer.
