Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As our time in Forks draws to a close, Diana and I find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible warmth and hospitality this community has shown us. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced not as strangers, but as neighbors and friends.

The Pacific Northwest is known for its natural beauty, but it’s the people of Forks and La Push who have truly made our experience unforgettable. Every interaction, every shared story, and every helping hand has reminded us what genuine community spirit looks like.

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the many organizations and groups that welcomed us with open arms: the Forks Timber Museum, Forks Forum, the organizers of the Old Fashioned 4th of July celebrations, Forks Elks Lodge, Forks Lions Club, Forks Library, Forks Athletic Club, Clallam Fire District 1, McPherson Logging, Quileute Drum Circle, Quileute Tribe Administration, City of Forks government, and West End Thunder Racing.

To all the wonderful friends we’ve made along the way – you know who you are – thank you for your friendship, your stories, and for making us feel like we truly belonged here. While we cannot mention everyone by name, please know that each conversation, each shared laugh, and each act of kindness has meant the world to us.

You’ve reminded us of the very best of what America’s small towns have to offer.

Thank you, Forks. Thank you, La Push. Thank you for making us part of your family.

With love and gratitude,

Marco Waldis & Diana Zhao
