American Legion Post 106 News

American Legion Post 106 has a new look. Situated on the corner at 651 East Division the post now has a new sign thanks to a few of the members. Bubba Bolin donated the posts and Richard Halverson donated the lumber for the sign and the engraving and paint. Richard and Howard Goakey installed the finished product. It looks great and Post 106 members all appreciate all of the hard work and generosity.

American Legion Post 106 meets the first Thursday of every month and May was no exception. One of the agenda items this month was the annual election of officers. The following are the results; Commander Bubba Bolin, Vice Commander Rick Reeves, Adjutant Clint Wood, Treasurer Howard Goakey, Sgt. at Arms Rick Seguin, and Chaplain Joe Wright. We wish them a successful year and thank them for their continued service.

Memorial Day Service may 30

American Legion Post 106 is honored to be performing the Memorial Day Service again this year. The service will begin at 11 a.m. at the Forks Cemetery. Please come and join in remembering all the men and women who are at rest hereafter serving our country.

Post 106 is also honored to have been asked to help place the flags on the graves of our veterans. Illene Rogers who has faithfully and lovingly done the honor every year asked for assistance which the Post is eager to supply.
