On Wednesday May 28, Seattle Archdiocese, Most Reverend, Auxiliary Bishop Frank Schuster presided over and bestowed our Sacrament of Confirmation to ten Confirmandi. Co-Celebrating with Bishop Schuster was our Pastor Fr. Jacob Maurer and our Parish Priest Fr. Ed White. The Confirmandi had been catechized and prepared for this Sacrament beginning in October 2024.

Over the next two days, the Bishop also presided over the Confirmation celebrations at a combined service for Queen of Angels, Port Angeles and Saint Joseph in Sequim and concluded with Saint Mary Star of the Sea in Port Townsend.

Each of the confirmed had a sponsor(s) and some sponsors and extended family and friends came from out of state. A truly spiritual and wondrous experience to behold. We are truly appreciative of our volunteer ministers and parishioners.

A reception followed with a cake social and a special treat was provided by our Guatemalan members who prepared steamed chicken tamales wrapped authentically in banana leaves. Delicious!
