Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest and The Hull Family Foundation each awarded over $13,000 in scholarships last week.

SIORF first-time scholarships were awarded to: Haylijane Highfield $1,500, Eladia Stansbury $1,565, Aliya Gillett $1,565, Lilianna Galeana $,1500, and Julieanne Haag $1,500. SIORF renewal scholarships were awarded to: Rowan Ball $3,130 and Kendall Marshall, $1,500.

SIORF also awarded Michelle Hunt with $1,000 Diane Demorest Award. The Hull Family Foundation awarded first-time scholarships to: Sawyer Graham $1,200, Brody Lausche $1,200, Haylijane Highfield $1,200, Eladia Stansbury $,1400, Aliya Gillett $1,400, Lilianna Galeana $1,200, Julieanna Haag $1,200. Hull Family Foundation renewal scholarships went to: Rowan Ball $1,400, Kendall Marshall $1,200, Gunnar Rogers $1,200, and Michelle Hunt $879. Haylijane Highfield also received the Cindy Mesenbrink Scholarship for $1,000.

The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award is given annually to a women with the primary financial responsibility for herself and her family and who is working to better her life through additional schooling. Congratulations to April Fordyce-Blewett, SIORF’s Live Year Dream winner. She received $1000 to help with her dream of earning a bachelor’s degree in social work.
