Rally for Unity
Folks for Change will hold a Rally for Unity on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Forks Transit Center, 551 S. Forks Ave. Folks for Change wishes to invite community members to take an hour or more of their time to join in and show our children, our neighbors, our family, our friends, and our community that we the people are committed to standing together. Mad Dog Mattis recently told troops abroad that they need to hold the line, while we figure out our problems here at home. We here at home also need to hold that line of compassion and respect. Let’s show them how it’s done, as we hold the line together.

S.D. CHILD FIND
Cape Flattery School District staff will be available to provide screenings for all children ages birth to 21. The screenings will be at the Makah Head Start, Neah Bay School or the Clallam Bay School. If your child is 5 or older, and is attending school, the screening can be done at their school.
Many problems children develop are rather easily solved or prevented when they are detected early in the child’s life.
If you have any concerns about your child’s development, take advantage of the free developmental screenings of the school district. Your child will be screened for physical skills, hearing, vision, intellectual functioning and speech and language development.
If you have concerns regarding your child, call your neighborhood school to set up an appointment. When you call, ask to speak with the specialist in charge of child find for the birth-21 program.
