Fall Sports Registration

FHS and FJHS Athletes may begin registration for Fall Sports in the online Family ID system. All incoming 7th-grade student-athletes will need an initial sport physical to begin participation at this level.

A mandatory Parent Meeting will take place Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. in the FHS Commons. Please contact Kyle Weakley or Traci Hurn at District Office if you have any questions.

Color Run Fundraiser

For their Senior Project Sylvia and Isabel will hold a Color Run on Saturday, July 27, at 10 a.m. starting at Forks High School, to benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital. The event is in honor of Jacob Anderson and Orlando Camacho.

Calm Waters Fundraiser July 27

Calm Waters will be holding its 8th annual Fundraiser/Auction and Garage Sale at the Sekiu Community Center on Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

There will be BBQ available, thanks to WindSong Charters. Calm Waters’ mission is to provide fishing events for Alumni from the Wounded Warrior Project and for the residents from Sarge’s Place Homeless Veteran Program.

A portion of the money raised will be used to cover expenses for the event and the remainder will be used for activities and holiday gift bags and meals for local homeless Veterans’ shelters.

Plein Air Painting

Workshop

Messy Palette Art League of Clallam Bay/ Sekiu is hosting a Plein Air Workshop taught by award-winning, Poulsbo artist, Robin Weiss. Come and have a fun time painting in the open air, painting from life. Dates are Tuesday, Aug. 13, and Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Sekiu Community Center, in Sekiu Washington.

The class will be from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cost is $150. you will need to bring your own supplies, i.e. paints, brushes, and easel, etc.

Swift Water Rescue

Team Raffle!

Native to Twilight will be holding another raffle to benefit the Forks Fire Dept. Swift Water Rescue Team.

They will be selling tickets $4 for one, 3 tickets for $10, the prize will be a kayak! Their goal is to purchase an inflatable fire hose kit for river rescues. Please stop by Native to Twilight during the 4th of July celebration to buy tickets. Drawing will be held on July 31.

Out of This World

Ventriloquist Show

As part of the Summer Reading Program, the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is excited to welcome award-winning ventriloquist Vikki Gasko Green. Green will perform her Out of This World Ventriloquist Show at three NOLS locations. The first performance will take place at 1 p.m., on Monday, July 29 at the Clallam Bay Branch Library, followed by a show at 6:30 p.m., at the Port Angeles Main Library. Her final performance will be on Tuesday, July 30 at the Sequim Branch Library.

Vikki Gasko Green will bring her zany cast of characters as she uses magic, ventriloquism, and lots of audience participation, to reach for the stars and planets in a show you’ll find out-of-this-world entertaining! This show is both educational and laugh-out-loud funny for all ages.
