Congressional candidate Young to hold town hall meeting in Forks

Republican 6th District congressional candidate Jesse Young, who is vying in the upcoming primary election for a chance to run for retiring Rep. Norm Dicks seat, has scheduled a  town hall meeting in Forks on Wednesday, July 18. The public meeting is set to run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at J. T.’s Sweet Stuffs (80 North Forks Ave.).  Jesse wants to hear about your concerns and answer your questions.

The candidate also plans similar meetings in Kitsap County, Mason County, Jefferson County, Port Angeles, Grays Harbor County and Pierce County. 

 

Democrat candidate Derek Kilmer is his party’s frontrunner in the primary election. Clallam County primary ballots are scheduled to be sent out on July 18, with the voting to end on August 7. The general election is set to end on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The race for Dicks’ seat is expected to be one of the most hotly contested races in the state along with the race for governor and the presidential race.
