King Lion Drew Huggins tapped Lyn Solomon and Dave Dilley of D&S Logging Co. as co-citizens of the year and presented each with a plaque to commemorate the award.
“Dave and Lyn have provided important contributions over many years to the Forks Lions Club and the entire community,” according to King Lion Huggins.
Each year Forks Lions Club recognizes a particular person who most represents the spirit of Lions Clubs in service to the community. This year two community members have received this award. “We can’t thank one without thanking the other. Dave and Lyn know how to get things done. They have been particularly generous in supporting Forks Lions Club community service projects”, explained King Lion Huggins recently at the annual awards and installation of officers banquet.
D & S Logging has been essential to the success of the Quincy-Forks “logs-for-produce” food bank project, expediting logs delivered to Quincy Lions club in exchange for foodstuffs brought back to the Forks Food Bank. “Whenever the club needs a piece of equipment moved or support for community fundraisers, we always find D & S Logging, Dave and Lyn, there with generous support”, said King Lion Huggins.
Huggins said, “I am proud to present this award for sustained community service to Dave Dilley and Lyn Solomon of D & S Logging, truly outstand citizens” as he presented plaques of appreciation to each.
