Raffle Basket

Eladia Stansbury, who is earning her bronze badge for Girl Scouts, put together a basket full of Easter goodies for a fundraiser to benefit the Long Term Care ADA Bus fund. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased at LTC, the drawing will be held on Friday, April 19.

Items in the basket include bunny salt and pepper shakers, Easter signs, jelly beans, eggs with cash in them, notepads, a chocolate bunny, coffee mug and coffee card, stuffed bunny and more! All funds raised will benefit the purchase of the new bus.

Annual Easter

Egg Hunt

Exciting plans are being made for the 39th annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on April 20 at 1 p.m. at Tillicum Park. This event is hosted by the Forks Elks Lodge #2524 and sponsored by Sully’s Drive-In and Forks Outfitters. The three baseball fields will be divided by age group into 3 years and younger, 4 to 8-year-olds and 9 to 12-year-olds. The children will have 1,440 dyed eggs and over 400 plastic eggs filled with candy and gift certificates to gather.

Each child will receive a drawing ticket for a chance to win prizes that include two bicycles and helmets along with stuffed animals and chocolate Easter bunnies.

The Easter Bunny will also be there to hand out candy and provide photo opportunities. Come join us for some fun!

Easter Triduum

St. Anne Catholic Church invites everyone to the celebration of the Easter Triduum April 18 thru April 21. The schedule is as follows: Holy Thursday, April 18, Potluck 5:30 p.m., Mass 7 p.m. Good Friday, April 19-Stations of the Cross 5:30 p.m., Veneration of the Cross 6 p.m. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil, April 20 8:30 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 21 Mass 8:30 a.m., Easter egg hunt to follow Mass.

First Baptist Church

Please join us at the First Baptist Church’s Children’s Easter Celebration on April 20 at 2 p.m. for a fun-filled celebration of the true meaning of Easter.

The event will have a presentation of the Easter story, craft and cookie time, and a spectacular 2000+ Easter egg hunt containing candy and prizes. Each child will also receive an Easter book!

Children fifth grade and below may participate in the Easter egg hunt. There will be a separate Easter egg hunt for preschool age and under.

PPLC Easter Service

and Activities

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Blackberry Ave., is having an Easter Sunday potluck breakfast at 9 a.m., with service at 10 a.m., and coffee hour/ fellowship and a kid’s egg hunt after church.

2019 Easter Breakfast

The Forks Elks Lodge, 941 Merchant Rd, will host the annual Easter Breakfast on Sunday, April 21, from 8 – 11 a.m.

The menu will include ham, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, orange juice, and coffee. The cost for breakfast is under three-free, ages 4-11 and seniors $6 and ages 12 and over $8.

This event is sponsored by Concerned Citizens and the Forks Emblem Club. The Easter Bunny will also be on-hand for photos.
