Thousands of parade-goers lined Forks Avenue to watch the Forks Old Fashioned Fourth of July parade held at noontime on Wednesday, July 4. Forks navy veteran Myron Simmons was honored at the Forks Old Fashioned Fourth of July parade. Simmons rode on the patriotic-themed Forks float. He served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1945-1946.  

In photo below, Forks Old Fashioned Fourth of July "Pioneer of the Year" Pearl Lucken is 100 years old this year and has likely attended more Forks’ Fourth celebrations than anyone else at the parade. 

The Forks Lions Club’s annual Salmon Bake drew long lines of diners at the "Ben Dome" in Tillicum Park following the Forks Old Fashioned Fourth parade.  

The log trucks are back! Loaded and unloaded log trucks were allowed to once again park on the grass inside Tillicum Park following the Forks Fourth of July parade. This allows parade-goers to have a closer look at the trucks and the West End timber industry.

Clallam County Fair royalty marched in the Forks Fourth parade. The countywide fair is being held at the Clallam County Fairgrounds in Port Angeles in mid-August.

The Quillayute Valley Grange was well represented at the Fourth of July parade.

 The Quileute Tribe brought a colorful wooden canoe to the Fourth of July parade. Drummers and paddlers aboard are looking forward to the 3-day Quileute Days celebration set for July 20-22 at LaPush, and to the upcoming Paddle Journey that begins to take off the end of next week.
