This week, Interwest Construction Inc will begin setting up for the Engineered Log Jam (ELJ) construction.
Beginning July 6, there will be 3 active work zones between MP 3 and MP 11 on Upper Hoh Road:
MP 4.5: Temporary Traffic Signal
MP 8: Flaggers (Daytime hours only)
MP 10: Temporary Traffic Signal
• Travelers should expect to be stopped and experience delays at each of the locations listed above on the Upper Hoh Road.
• Delays are expected to total up to 30 minutes per passage through the project corridor Mon-Sat 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.
• Olympic National Park and businesses along Upper Hoh River Road will remain accessible at all times during construction. Please plan accordingly to account for delays.
• On Monday, July 12, the contractor will be placing the precast concrete girders on the Canyon Creek Bridge at MP 10. This is a highly complex and time-consuming operation which could result in longer than normal delays on this day.
• Consider limiting your travel through the project corridor on July 12, to avoid potential lengthy delays.
