The City of Forks is seeking letters of interest from those willing to serve on the Forks Planning Commission. The City currently has one opening on the Commission, but in addition is expecting Commissioners Milton and DeAnna Beck to retire within a few months.

Further, Commission Trent Thurman has indicated that he will resign his position effective at the end of December. There is currently one opening on the Commission. The Commission meets about once a month, depending upon business needs, and is responsible for the application of the zoning code, the review of conditional use permits, subdivisions, and updates to the Forks Urban Growth Area comprehensive plan.

Individuals interested in serving on the committee should send a letter to Rod Fleck, Attorney/Planner, at 500 East Division Street, Forks, WA 98331. In the letter, please indicate your interest and provide a bit of information about yourself. All appointments are made by the Mayor with the concurrence of the City Council.
