The Washington State Patrol is reporting, in a press memo, that Teresa Payne age 62 of La Push, WA was driving a black 2007 Suzuki SX4 HB westbound around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, near Three Rivers Road on SR110 when her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a large tree root.

The memo further states that the vehicle rolled and came to rest on the center of the road.

WSP further reports that Payne was transported by aid to Forks Community Hospital and pronounced deceased.

Memo details also state:

Seatbelt worn – No.

Next of kin notification completed by Quileute Natural Resources.
