American Legion member and master of ceremonies for the Memorial Day ceremony Joe Wright salutes as Meg Rasmussen plays the National Anthem. Meg also ended the ceremony with Taps.

Forks Mayor Tim Fletcher shared a few words with those attending the ceremony on Monday morning.

Forks city attorney/planner Rod Fleck donned a civil war soldier’s cap and shared some information on that war as well as some of the civil war veterans buried at the Forks Cemetery.

Pastor Warren Johnson, Forks Congregational Church, offered a prayer and a few words about this sacred day.
