Joyce Pagac has been operating Olympic Graphic Arts for four decades, but that doesn’t mean she’s let modern technology pass her by.

This month Pagac replaced her old Canon copier with a brand-spanking new one, a behemoth that can do everything from make copies to “making booklets all stapled and ready to go.”

With a few button pushes it also will three-hole punch the copies and custom fold them.

Pagac said it’s taken some time just to acquaint herself with her new copier’s myriad capabilities.

Perhaps most importantly, it also makes “very nice color copies,” said Pagac, who notes the new copier prints at up to 2,400 by 2,400 dots per inch, that makes it ideal for printing photos.

And it can take heavy paper stock — up to “12 point cover” paper, Pagac said.

Both of those capabilities are useful for area artists, including Elaine Norbisrath, who says when it comes to reproducing her art work, “I wouldn’t take mine anywhere else. All the artists come here.”

Those in business also will enjoy some additional aspects of the machine, including the fact that, “it’s very fast for color photos,” snapping out 70 sheets per minute. Full-color brochures and fliers, coming right up!

The new machine can accept items in a variety of modern ways, including via e-mail or flash drive. Of course, it also has a glass scanning plate for doing things the old-fashioned way.

Pagac’s business is much more than copies. Folks from all over the West End turn to her for office and artists’ supplies.
