One car rollover injures eight

Driver airlifted

Washington State Patrol reports a one-vehicle accident occurred Sunday morning just after 9 a.m. near Riverside Rd. A cargo van driven by 19-year-old Belarmina Pablo Lorenzo was eastbound when the vehicle left the roadway to the right and entered the eastbound ditch. The vehicle climbed the embankment, struck a stump, rotated to the left, and rolled onto the driver’s side with the roof striking the embankment. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side.

Also in the vehicle were 35-year-old Cesaria Lorenzo Perez, 39-year-old Alberto Pablo Ortiz, and five juveniles. All were wearing seatbelts and all were transported to Forks Community Hospital. The driver, Pablo Lorenzo, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

The cause of the collision is under investigation and the vehicle was towed by West End Motors.
