One vehicle accident south of Forks

The Washington State Patrol is reporting that a one-vehicle crash occurred on Wednesday, April 13 at about 5:28 p.m., south of Forks. A 2022 Nissan Armada driven by Ji Hui age 47 of Short Hills, New Jersey was traveling northbound on Hwy 101 at MP 172 when the vehicle drove through icy precipitation, and the driver lost control. The WSP memo states that the vehicle left the roadway to the right where it struck a utility pole and came to rest on the side of the road on the northbound side.

Others in the vehicle were passengers Emily Yang, age 7, Olivia Yang age 12, Young J Yang age 69, Yun Yang age 40, and Jianying Yu age 68; all of Short Hills, New Jersey.

The Memo also states all were wearing seatbelts and all were listed as injured and transported to Forks Community Hospital. It further states that drugs or alcohol were not involved. The vehicle was towed by Avalon Towing and was totaled. Charges were listed as Wheels Off Roadway.
