Presentation on how to report marine debris set for Friday

Hello, beach and river lovers!

We are pleased to offer you special training session to help you report large marine debris, a reporting tool called MyCoast. Briefly, it is a tool to collect information about large marine debris, derelict vessels, and creosote pilings. Information submitted using this tool is forwarded to the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WA DNR), and other agencies.

Using this tool will help us track marine debris, and get it removed. Twin Harbors Waterkeeper is expanding our marine debris education and outreach, so we’re very excited to host this training for all of you! This tool will help us and agency staff keep track of large debris, and get it cleaned up.

Chris Robertson, Restoration Manager in the Aquatic Restoration Program at WA DNR will provide this training session to us at 2 p.m., on April 9.
