Quillayute Valley School District begins its Bullying Prevention program this week.

Middle school students and staff were slated to make a human sign reading “Stop Bullying” Wednesday afternoon.

Superintendent Diane Reaume said the district has committed to a number of anti-bullying initiatives this year.

Staff held a special training session the day before the school year started, part of a “systems change,” as Reaume called it, to stop bullying in the district’s schools.
