Spring Carnival was a Hit!

Sunny skies on Saturday meant for a great turnout for the FHS Carnival.

FHS ASB Advisor Clare Highfield who assisted the students with the event said, “We planned to have it outside and the weather decided to be very cooperative.”

She added, “The community was very generous with donations.”

The organization of the event was led by FHS ASB president Maribel Davila Greene with students doing most of the work.

Businesses and parents donated gift certificates, prizes, and supplies for the carnival.

Parents also made food. Each grade level had at least one booth. Carnival goers spent their tickets at the booths.

The carnival was a school fundraiser for each high school grade class (9-12).

Other fundraising activities are also ongoing, Clare added, “We had to postpone the Talent show, which will be moved to the end of April, and the Junior class will be selling Gift Basket tickets until March 31.”

Clare also said that the carnival may become an annual event!
