Upper Hoh Road Construction Update

Construction Activities and Upcoming Work

This week, Interwest Construction, Inc. (ICI) continued delivering material for Engineered Log Jam (ELJ) construction.

ICI’s pile-driving subcontractor, Greyrock Drilling, completed mobilizing their pile driving equipment and setting up for pile driving operation for the foundation of the new Tower Creek bridge (MP 7.8).

Greyrock started driving the temporary sheet pile at the end of this week. The purpose of this sheet pile is to function as a temporary retaining wall to maintain the integrity of the existing bridge approach and roadway while partial excavation is done for the new bridge foundation.

This week, ICI and Greyrock will continue driving the temporary sheet pile and begin driving the new bridge foundation pipe pile at Tower Creek.
