We have been talking and learning about ourselves and how to be a good friend.

The assignment for a group of Forks third graders was to write an ad to a newspaper that was offering free ads to find friends. They were supposed to write about qualities they were looking for in a friend and what the friend could expect from them also.

We brainstormed all kinds of character traits and what it would look like to have a friend with those qualities. The kids did a prewrite and then they wrote their ad using simple sentences. Great Job Mrs. Haag’s 3rd graders!
