August 11, 1959 – April 18, 2025

Randall Scott Malone, known to most as Randy, passed away at his home in Forks, on April 18, 2025. He was 65 years old.

Randy was born on August 11, 1959, in Tacoma, Washington, and later moved to Forks, where he graduated from Forks High School in 1977. During his school years, he was a member of the wrestling team.

In his younger years, Randy took to the sea, commercial fishing out of La Push with his father and later friend Ron. He also worked in the logging industry, retiring from Engeseth Logging.

On January 24, 1987, Randy married, Patty Lee Shawver. The two shared many years together before Patty’s passing. Though Randy and Patty had no children of their own, Randy was stepfather to Patty’s sons, Frank McNab and Dan Shawver, who survive him, and a grandpa to Steven Hurley, Chase Robinson, Katelin McNab, Tyler McNab, Elizabeth McNab, and AbbyGale McNab.

Randy was also a devoted dog dad, sharing his later years with his beloved companions, Dewy and Simone, who also survive him.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patty. He will be remembered for his great smile and kind heart.
