Thelma Bertha Hoschar a longtime resident of Forks, WA died on Jan. 28, 2020, at Forks Community Hospital.

She was born in 1935 in Missouri. She moved to Washington as a young woman and began a family. In 1979 she came to the Peninsula where she raised three children and lived the rest of her life.

She was an avid gardener and shared the harvest with the local food bank. She was known for her honest, hardworking character and was a nurturer to the end. Her smile could light up a room.

She was preceded in death by husband Orman B. Hoschar and life partner David Mansfield and daughter Susan Dick.

She is survived by her two sons John Hoschar of Forks, WA, Sam Hoschar who resides in Alsask with his family, grandsons; Alan, and Jason Irvine, Brandon Oatfield, and Andy Hoschar.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7 at the Forks Cemetery. Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.
