Wednesday, Oct. 5
• Wear your Hickory Shirt!
7:30-9:30 a.m. Rainforest Arts Center (RAC) — WEB&PA meeting. The Pioneer Logger Award will be presented. A short film “Sheldon Remains” will be shown right after the meeting. It was filmed in Forks and is “a delightfully desperate film about the late coming-of-age of an injured logger and his over-protective mother.” It was directed by Corbin Frost.
• Noon-1 p.m. Blakeslee’s Bar and Grill — Chamber Meeting and lunch — PUD is the program.
• 3-5 p.m. RAC — West End Historical Society meeting. Bring your items to show off “what made life easier for women “back when.” Missy Seymour and Jennifer Blomgren are displaying their vintage apron collections from Wednesday-Sunday throughout the room. Jack Zaccardo will give a slide presentation featuring logging in the area, highlighting “women in logging” stories.
• 5-7 p.m. Forks Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center/Timber Museum — Business After Hours Open House — light refreshments — All welcome
• 7:30 p.m. Elks Lodge, 941 Merchant Road — Homecoming bonfire
• All day — FREE ADMISSION to the Timber Museum
Thursday, Oct. 6
• 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) RAC — Movie Night hosted by West End Historical Society and Timber Museum.
First up, the documentary “Cuts,” a short film released in 1981 and filmed at the M.R. Smith Shingle Mill that was once located on the shores of Lake Pleasant. Filmed in the late 1970s, the film portrays the hard work and danger that workers in the mill faced on a daily basis.
Feature — “Big Trees” with Kirk Douglas — A Quaker colony tries to save the giant sequoias of California from a timber baron.

Friday, Oct. 7
• 1:30 p.m. DNR building dedication, ribbon cutting and open house tours, Tillicum Lane.
• 5-6 p.m. FORKS LIBRARY — live music from Lake Creek Ladies, Sarah Winter and Joey Schwerin.
• 7 p.m. – FORKS HIGH SCHOOL — Spartan Football and Homecoming
• All day 10 a.m.-4 p.m. — FREE ADMISSION to the Timber Museum
Saturday, Oct. 8
• 10 a.m.-6 p.m. RAC Alcove — Far West Art League Art Show and Sale
• 1-4 p.m. RAC— 20th Annual Fish and Brew, come taste wonderful smoked fish and local brews, apple cider and root beer. Entry $5 suggested donation — Loose Gravel performing
• 6-8 p.m. RAC — Bob McIntyre will be taking Old Time photos with aprons and hickory shirts provided or wear your own.
• 6:30-7:30 p.m. RAC — Dance instruction
• 7:30-10 p.m. RAC — Aprons & Overalls Dance with Crescent Blue, $6 per adult, $12 family — suggested donation — no one turned away
• All day 10 a.m.-4 p.m. — FREE ADMISSION to the Timber Museum
Sunday, Oct. 9
• Noon-4 p.m. RAC Alcove — Far West Art League Art Sale and Show
• Noon-4 p.m. RAC — Sheep to Shawl — Rainforest Council for the Arts demonstrations
• 1-4 p.m. RAC Alcove — Phillip Ward will be having a basket-weaving class. The class will cost $20 and will include all materials.
• 3 p.m. Forks Outfitters — Little Logger Contest sponsored by the WEB & PA
• All day 10 a.m.-4 p.m. — FREE ADMISSION to the Timber Museum
